OVERVIEW
L'AMI Learning is a team of committed teachers who love to teach and help student find the power inside themselves to succeed. We tutor students based on their unique way of learning and tailor our lessons to meet their needs.
When we take on a new student, we compile a profile to understand your child's strengths, challenges, interests and learning style. Using this information, we formulate a learning program with a view to catching them up to their grade level. With other students, our challenge is to help enrich their lessons so they are working closer to their full potential.
On occasion, we find it helpful to communicate with school teachers in an effort to coordinate efforts and more effectively help the student through their specific challenges.
Progress reports to parents are another important part of our learning program - ensuring that parents are aware of progress and can support on-going efforts at home between learning sessions.

Personal tutoring is the ideal learning setting - especially for students who struggle with focus or motivation. The teacher and the student are completely focussed on the student's specific challenges whether it be a math problem or the pronunciation of a new word.

Remote Services
WEB CONFERENCE LEARNING
We have been using web-based conferencing software with our international students for years. It is a virtual one-to-one experience. It is not quite as good as being there in person - but quite personal and engaging nevertheless.
We are using the state-of-the-art platforms including: ZOOM, Skype, Lark and teaching systems combined with our huge library of educational materials. We're able to tutor the same ages and subjects as at our centre.

- Programs are customized to specific needs and pace of students - just like in person sessions,
- Sessions are taught by experienced, motivated tutors - just like our tutors doing face-to-face sessions

Study Skills & Test Preparation
Studying is a skill - just like writing exams. Our team of tutors can help students learn these skills to be better students.
When extra help is needed for exams, we can help students study to prepare for key exams - to learn the material

Tutoring
We offer a team of friendly, experienced and caring tutors with the best interest of your child's education at heart. We can focus on one or more subjects at a time. We look to identify your child's unique learning style and pace and seek to implement a plan suited to their specific needs. We will continually adjust programs to ensure learning they are getting the most out of each subject. We also provide feedback to you the parent on their progress.
Learning Pods
Learning Pods is a public school alternative - where children follow a home school type curriculum in a small group supervised environment. It provides a balance of learn at your own pace personalized attention and a social environment.
Learning Pods are well suited to busy parents who would like to offer the benefits of homeschooling but are unable to stay home themselves.
Remote Homework Support
When the combined demands of being a parent, career person and monitoring your child's on-line schoolwork becomes too much, think about letting us share that load. Our tutors can monitor your child's classwork, keep track of assignments and add guidance, focus and support to help get assignments done properly and on-time. We can also keep you informed and alert you when your hands on attention is required.
In-person Homework Support
Staying on top of your child's schoolwork and trying to balance the demands of a career and family is a heavy load. Our team can be a BIG help with one of those responsibilities. We can monitor, interact, motivate, and nudge when needed - to help ensure that your child's school work is completed and understood - so they will keep up with their school work.
